Integrations: Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, Clio and Zapier

Send approved documents where your team already works · docEvault LLC · support@docevault.com

docEvault collects documents from your clients. Integrations take the ones you approve and put them where your firm keeps its files, in your cloud storage or your practice management system, and Zapier connects everything else. Integrations are part of the Professional and Enterprise plans.

Google Drive

Cloud Storage

Copy approved documents into a folder in your Drive, automatically as you approve them or one file at a time.

  • Asks only for Google’s drive.file permission: docEvault can see just the files and folders it creates, never the rest of your Drive
  • One folder per client and per request, created for you
  • A file with the same name is saved alongside, never overwritten

Dropbox

Cloud Storage

Copy approved documents into a dedicated Dropbox App Folder, automatically on approval or on demand.

  • Access is limited to docEvault’s own App Folder, not your whole Dropbox
  • One folder per client and per request
  • Pushing a file again replaces the earlier copy

Box

Cloud Storage

Copy approved documents into a folder in your Box account, automatically on approval or on demand.

  • docEvault only creates folders and files inside the folder you choose
  • One folder per client and per request
  • Works with Box Enterprise once your Box admin approves the app

Clio

Practice Management

Send approved documents straight into a client’s matter in Clio Manage, under your own Clio account.

  • Pick the matter and folder for each send
  • Send several files at once, optionally combined into one PDF
  • Sending to the same folder again adds a new version in Clio

Zapier

Automation

Connect docEvault to 7,000+ apps without code: start Zaps from what happens in docEvault, or send requests from other apps.

  • Triggers when a document is uploaded, approved or rejected, or a request is complete
  • Actions send a request from a template or send a reminder
  • Signed webhooks to your own HTTPS address, if you’d rather skip Zapier

How Integrations Handle Your Files

  • Only approved documents leave docEvault. Files still under review or rejected stay put, so your storage reflects what you accepted
  • Each integration asks for the narrowest access its provider offers, and connection tokens are stored encrypted
  • Every manual send is recorded in the request’s activity feed: what went where, who sent it, and whether it worked
  • Admins decide which integrations the firm uses, and can disconnect any of them at any time
  • Firms that turn on end-to-end encryption keep automatic cloud copies off, since the server can’t read those files

Your Google Account

If you connect Google Drive, docEvault asks only for Google's drive.file permission, so it can see and change just the folders and files it creates. docEvault's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. See our Privacy Policy for details.
